Looking at TEX ATC Charts, I'm little confused. Why are no RW27 departs SOP's published? Assuming that RW27 approach is only VFR. I'm right in the assumption that "bigger" aircraft always have to land on RW09 and to depart from RW27? I'm always exited by the RW27 circling approach! Is this approach training mandatory? How about rotors/mountain waves rw09 approach/RW27 depart at northerly winds? The same about RW27 visual approach/RW09 visual depart at southerly winds? I wonder how Jeppesen charts would look like with only ^ at elevations? Surprise!! We are in a Dead Vally with surrounding 14.000'rs!! Oops!

Remember sitting in lawn chairs 50 years ago watching them land at this airport. Lot less traffic, and 80% of the flights were Delta and Eastern. Damn, I'm old.

Great channel. Why is it fur covers are so common on pilot seats? I remember cars used to have that back in the 70's but they disappeared together with the flower magnets. Does it have any particular benefits in a cockpit seat? How common is electrically heated seats?

greg im an audio engineer. there are small digital audio recorders that would allow you to record on separate tracks. i. e. radio audio could go on one track in stereo, and your voice could go on another. that way if you ever have some problem audio you could send it to a guy like me to clean it up. i own a studio. since you are a veteran I would do it for free.
